This irregular fluted stone disk was found in a fourth or fifth century burial mound in central Japan. Works in this shape are called sharinseki (carriage-wheel stones) and are sometimes identified as stone bracelets. They seem, however, to be talismans with magical or religious significance. Solid brass, electro-plated with gold finish, faux pearls, ear wires are gold plated. Approx. 1.5" length
