Tide Pieces Tide Clock Fire Island

If you know Fire Island, New York then you know how folks move their stuff around using the iconic little red wagon. Apparently that goes for the crabs, too, as seen in this image (with Fire Island Lighthouse in the background) as the tide recedes.

Alan Winick’s tide clocks are accurate nautical instruments with a whimsical twist. The dial shows the hours to the next tide while the mechanically animated display shows the sea level changing in sync with the actual tide. Measuring 11 1/2” x 6” x 2”, these unique tide clocks run all year on a single AA battery.
